The key to taming your Wollywog is to overwhelm it: surround it with Pikmin and the dashing, flashing colors will rewire its brain to be passive.

Actually... what happens is that the Wollywog is constantly changing its target, and it won't jump until it faces its target. The Wollywog also pushes the Pikmin around while turning, which makes it change its target more often, so it can stay tame for quite some time. However, nothing lasts forever...

I found this while trying to do more testing for the spray drop softlock some time back. I still plan on uploading more of the spray drop softlock, but I need to do more testing first. But first, I'm currently trying to complete Submerged Castle 2 in less than 2 minutes. This would mean that Pikmin 2 could be beaten in just 20 in game minutes instead of 21. Here is one of my attempts: youtube.com/watch?v=z3kfA6IA0JQ
Since this attempt, I've gotten a time of 2:05, but I have since made further optimizations that make this task even harder.
