...I was recently tagged by someone, I'm sorry I can't remember who, if I could make a fire with a pencil. It's something I haven't considered before but always up for a challenge I thought I'd put my palm stone to work with a pencil.

...I used a Malayan cherry hearth & the cord off the pendant to drive it & I've got to say I was quite surprised this one worked. I thought the lead would inhibit the ember, which it did to dome extent as it was a very grainy ember that wouldn't coalesce but still managed to keep burning for me to pop it in the tinder bundle.
