This is a video showing how my Mimic sounds when mixed in with a drumless track. The backing track is one that my band recorded earlier this year (and I recorded my Roland TD30 drum sounds onto). This is only a rough and ready mix of the drums.
I have again only used the Master 1 and 2 outs to record. So I have had very little contol of the mix. Nonetheless, given this basic recording, it is clear to me at least that this drum module is awesome.
I have done very little to the settings - increased overhead mic volumes and room mics. I have added a little compression to the overall kit.
The band is Monty's Travellin Music Show International and we play in Germany and occasionally UK. We have a couple shows in UK in a few weeks. I'll be taking my Mimic :)
The band comprises Thierry Guillemot from France, who is a Neil Young specialist; Marten Rolf from Germany on lead guitar; John Montague from UK on vocals and acoustic guitar, Keith Brooks from UK on bass and of course me from UK on drums.
