Link's Journal:
Day 11
I spent too long looking at a map and Zelda had to warn me an ice chuchu was nearby. Good thing she noticed or I would've been frozen solid!
Anyway, I eventually got the last bell in place and the final door opened. It led straight upstairs. There was another massive door here and another big key that I had to take to it. Once I opened the big door, it led to a huge room. This was the coldest part of the temple.
The door closed behind me and some weird creature appeared. It could use fire and ice magic! I kept dodging its attacks, not sure what to do. Then I remembered that fire and ice were opposites. The question was how to use them against each other. That's when I had an idea. I threw the boomerang into the ice torch when the monster was about to shoot fire at me. IT WORKED! It completely stunned the monster and I was able to get a few hits in. But the monster realized what I was doing and destroyed the torches.
I kept dodging and running. Zelda pointed out that every time the monster missed, a remnant of its magic remained. I used that remnant to destroy the monster once and for all.
Once it was destroyed, a pedestal containing the giant white force gem appeared. More tracks had been restored and energy went back to the Tower of Spirits.
When Zelda and I stepped outside, the blizzard was gone and the tracks to the Tower of Spirits had reappeared. We stopped at Wellspring Station for a rest (Ferrus was home and willing to take me in for the night. He's perfected the art of tea). Zelda and I are on our way to the Tower of Spirits now to tell Anjean the good news.
