Day 10
I journeyed south toward the Swamp Palace in the Dark World. I couldn't get anywhere, but then I remembered the strange ruins in the swamp in the Light World. I used the mirror to go back and went inside the ruins. The ruins didn't have much other than a small switch. When I pulled it, a rush of water flowed in.
I went back to the Dark World and saw that water was now all over the Swamp Palace. The palace itself was difficult to navigate since it was hard to fight monsters in the water. Luckily, I was able to find something to help me with that. It's a strange invention called the Hookshot.
The hookshot helped me get to higher places in the palace. I have yet to find the trapped maiden or the monster guarding her. She has to be around here somewhere.
