Mario's Journal:
Day 16
The train had disappeared so we couldn't get very far into the toy box. We explored what area we could and ended up finding the storeroom key...next to a mushroom. Odd. I won't complain though.
We couldn't find anything else, so I figured we should return to town and give the shop Toad his storeroom key back. He appreciated it and let us have anything in the storeroom. Kooper spotted a toy train. Goombario suggested we toss it in the toy box where it could become a real train. It was worth a shot so I did it.
When we jumped back into the toy box, sure enough, a full-grown train was on the track. The conductor said it fell right out of the sky. It works well too! We took the train to see more of the toy box. There we found a frying pan...next to a thunder rage? I still won't complain, but that is still pretty odd. We took it back to Tayce T. and she made us a cake.
Bombette reminded me that there was a hungry Shy Guy blocking the path to a nearby switch. Parakarry actually confirmed the switch was connected to the tracks. I gave the cake to Gourmet Guy and he was so happy he practically launched out of the toy box.
Pulling the switch fixed some of the broken tracks and we were able to explore more of the toy box. There we found Russ T.'s dictionary next to a super soda. Bow is starting to wonder if these items are poisoned or something, but I don't think so. It's really strange. I would think Bowser or whoever is guarding the Star Spirit here would be smarter in guarding these things that have helped us along the way.
Bow also found a mysterious note lying around. It was written in a really weird language. I wonder if Russ T. will be able to translate it for us.
