This opera rarity has an enormous dynamic range: delicate passages exuding the spirit of Bach and Monteverdi, influences of French impressionism and Russian music are contrasted with the ecstatic monumental orchestral and choral passages of the 20th century.
Together with its tale of jealousy, witch-hysteria and fatal love constellation, the three-act LA FIAMMA offers a highly intense rollercoaster of emotions.
We celebrate the premiere of LA FIAMMA on 29 September, with further performances on 2, 7, 11, 15 and 18 October 2024.
With Olesya Golovneva, Georgy Vasiliev, Ivan Inverardi, Martina Serafin, Doris Soffel, Sua Jo, Cristina Toledo, Martina Baroni, Karis Tucker , Caren Van Oijen, Patrick Guetti, Manuel Fuentes, Caitlin Gotimer, Chance Jonas-O’Toole, Silvia Pohl, Andrea Spartà, Nicolas Franciscus, Koray Tuna, Extras, Children’s chorus, Chorus and Orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
