Of robbers and wild boars, donkeys and clairvoyants, politicians and postmen, drunkards and strict court ladies – Detlev Glanert's large-scale opera DIE DREI RÄTSEL (The Three Riddles) tells a funny, bizarre and charmingly spooky adventure story with a princess happy ending for the whole family.
Director Brigitte Dethier, who will be honoured with the prestigious DER FAUST award for her life's work in 2025, stages this powerful musical fairy tale with over 90 soloists and singers from the children's chorus and the youth chorus of the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
Under the musical direction of Dominic Limburg, Martina Baroni, Philipp Jekal, Chance Jonas-O'Toole, Joel Allison, Byung Gil Kim, Maria Vasilevskaya, Alexandra Oomens and musicians from the orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin will be joined by more than 40 musicians from the Landesjugendorchester, the UDK Berlin, the Arndt-Gymnasium Dahlem and the Musikschule City West.
