Yay! This April, GIULIO CESARE IN EGITTO, in the legendary David McVicar production from the Glyndebourne Festival, comes to Berlin for the first time. Timeless, humorous, and meticulously detailed, this production of George Frideric Handel’s seminal Baroque opera tells one of the most famous love stories of all time—Caesar and Cleopatra!

The premiere is on 25 April, with further performances on 28 April, 1/3/10 May, 5/8 July 2026.

Under the baton of Stefano Montanari with Christophe Dumaux, Elena Tsallagova, Clémentine Margaine / Stephanie Wake-Edwards, Martina Baroni, Cameron Shahbazi / Ivan Borodulin, Michael Sumuel, Edu Rojas and Jared Werlein alongside the Opera ballet, Chorus and Orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
