The incoming Principal Guest Conductor, Maxime Pascal, brings two projects close to his heart for his first season at the Deutsche Oper Berlin: Karlheinz Stockhausen’s MITTWOCH AUS LICHT from his LICHT opera cycle, and a concert evening featuring Olivier Messiaen’s “Turangalîla” Symphony.

The French conductor is particularly impressed by the many distinctive features of Stockhausen’s Heptalogy and is looking forward to the monumental musical experience that the Messiaen concert promises to be.
