After 4 months, I've finally completed my arrangement of Osvald's theme! I was originally using my white Ibanez RG 350 to record the rhythm parts, but it still has intonation problems, and has old strings, so I decided to re-learn the parts on my 8-string (I used an asinine tuning to do it involving tuning most of the guitar UP a half-step from standard, except the highest two strings, so that I can easily play a really spicy Cmin9 chord lol)
I had mentioned a track from this game that I was doing for the Pixel Mixers arrangement album a couple times, so just to make it clear, this isn't the same one. Once that one is officially released, I will post the video for it on my channel.
For this arrangement, I took some liberties with the song by adding some spicy riffs/ostinatos to the A section, since it's very minimal in the original, and doesn't give me a ton to work with. So I kept the chord progression and melody the same, but just added some of my own tidbits, if you will. The B or "chorus" section is more or less like the original without any added tidbits, aside from the last part towards the end having a very polyrhythmic feel that shifts the melody over a bit at times.

This one took quite a while to come out, and Im super glad I can finally share this one with everyone! This was a cover I did for Dwelling of Duels back in June, but the version I posted there is a bit different from this one, as it only features myself, but this one features the amazing Fuzz Pixels, and is arguably the better version as a result! :)
For this song, I thought it would be a fun idea to up the tempo quite a bit and give it more of a pop punk kind of vibe (although with more of the riffy metal style that I tend to do). Since Fuzz Pixels does a lot of Punk/Punk-adjacent covers, I thought it was the perfect song to feature him on, and he did a great job playing the melodies in his own unique way, not to mention the really tasty solo he came up with! Special thanks to him for joining me on this one :)
Make sure to check out his channel as well for some awesome video game covers done in a punk/post-hardcore/emo style!:

Youll probably notice that in some shots my hair is a tad longer, and thats because I filmed some of the video early in July, but Fuzz Pixels ending up being pretty busy when I asked him to participate (it was a bit last minute on my part lol) so I saved the rest for later so I could complete the Mother Brain video in time for 8-Bit Battleground. Its also been ridiculously hot here, so Im a bit unavoidably sweaty, and my hair is super untamed in said shots lol
