Back with another cover! This is one of my rare non-VGM covers, again for my dad's birthday like the Billy Talent one I did last year. Happy birthday Dad!
I took a similar approach with this to the last one, where I followed the original song structure, but I played in a step lower than the original to make it more comfortable for my voice. I also added quite a few harmonies, since the original didn't have any whatsoever.
For the solos, I did the first one on my keyboard, and played it mostly like the original (well, one of the originals... it has that weird thing where Tony Iommi double tracked the solos but each one is different so you have a different solo on each side which is super bizzare. I followed the one on the right side). With the second solo, I played it on guitar, but changed it more and made it more of my own, while still referencing the original. I took a similar approach with the bass solo in the intro, playing it mostly like the original, but added a couple of my own tidbits towards the end.
I also decided to put the lyrics on screen for funsies, because why not?
All in all, I wanted to make sure my version pays respects to the original while still making it my own as I typically do with all my covers. Hope you like my version of N.I.B., and I'll hopefully be back with another VGM cover next month or the one after! I'm hoping I can start doing more than one a month again after I deal with moving and the holidays.

Since Ive done a song from the first two games already, I figured I should do one from the third at some point! I also managed to get my friend CRGuitar to contribute some great lead playing and creepy death stares to this one, so extra special thanks to him!
This one was also an entry in Augusts Dwelling of Duels, where it won 8th place out of 37 entries!
For this one, I decided to turn it into a fun bluesy jam session of sorts, since the original is just a 25-second 12-bar blue that repeats. I also covered the slower version that plays in Blues Beach Hut, as well as the faster version that plays once Blue receives his birthday gift! I had a lot of fun playing around with the genre of this one, all while still retaining the bluesy feel.
