I'm so excited to be able to share this one finally!! This was made for Pixel Mixers 10th Anniversary Album, which is also out today, so make sure to go check that out; it has tons of great music from many great artists, and of all pretty well-known video game tunes :) I also contributed some bass and choir vocals to a couple other tracks on it!
First off, a BIG BIG thank you to Hyper Light Drummer for playing drums on this one! He provided exactly what this track needed and more! I can't help but listen to this and air drum along with his parts; I'm particular obsessed with the drum fill at the start of the third chorus *chef's kiss*
I made this track somewhere between August and October of last year, so being able to share it with people finally is a great feeling. I only recorded my video parts a month ago, so it took some time to relearn all my parts as I hadn't played them in months.
I barely remember how I came up with the arrangement, other than I was handed the track so I had to come up with something lol. But after a few days it kinda just clicked. I did it a half-step down from the original to make it a bit more comfortable in my vocal range. My favourite thing is probably the re-harmonizations I used throughout and the way I tease them in the second verse, but then go full force with them in the third one.
