The innovation in this strat is using Fireburst while crossing the ice bridge, which skips 2 cycles of cannon fire. We also use the Inkfinity stone before jumping rather than during the trick, which makes it easier to focus on the brushwork. This strat was first suggested by Astral (Straybeads) on my stream today (3 Oct 2020), based on the strat 27kan used in his current PB (youtu.be/sUf2sL7080E?t=8161). Our previous strat was already faster than what Kan did there, but this video is a substantial improvement on both.
Overall, I would say this strat is not substantially harder or less consistent than the previous one, though there is a slight additional risk of falling off the bridge due to extra actions taking place at the same time.
There are a few ways to lose time here. You basically want to use Fireburst right after Blizzard, just holding the brush button between them. It's possible to be too early with Fireburst, but only if your Blizzard was also really early. If you don't buffer the brush for Fireburst, it's pretty easy to be late with it, which can result in having to R3 turn the camera to PS the gold cannon's shot, which is slow. If you don't jump off the ice bridge fast enough, it's easily possible for the shot to hit the ground before you can PS it, so make sure you jump when you here the cannon's charging sound-effect. Regardless of what happens, it's very easy to fall back to the old strat and lose very little time.
