You can skip the collapsing bridge that normally forces you to fall into Basement Floor 1 using a double jump. This saves about 1 minute, as shown in the video, compared to the just jumping down to BF1 (which skips the bridge collapse cutscene).

Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, you can't do this without double jump, as the bridge collapse trigger is too big. To get double jump requires performing CC Skip, so this isn't useful in NG Any%. It should be useful in NG All Brushes, though.
