A wildfire near Redding, Northern California claimed at least five lives as it continues to spread across Shasta County.
A five year old, a four year old and their great-grandmother are amongst the latest victims after two firefighters were also killed by the blaze.
Over 500 buildings have been damaged as the fire doubled in size overnight to reach 81,000 acres (328 square kilometres). Some 38,000 locals were evacuated from the area with up to 6,000 more homes at risk.
