This rock and roll cover version of "Nobody But Me", by The Human Beinz, was released in 1967. The original soul version written and recorded by the Isley Brothers came out in 1962. The Human Bein(g)z originally called themselves The Premiers but wanted a more updated name to fit the late 1960's. Upon the release of this song, Capitol Records misspelled the name leaving out the "g" and didn't bother to correct it because the record was group's only Billboard Top 40 hit peaking at #8 in 1968. Though The Human Beinz version has been duly noted for the number of "no's" and "nobody's", their version has been used in various TV venues and some well known movies over the years. Many big time multi-hit recording artists can't make that claim.
