"Let's Have a Party", by American singer, songwriter, pianist, and guitarist Wanda Jackson is a track from her first album Wanda Jackon in 1958. As a single, it reached #37 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1960. The song was originally recorded by Elvis Presly. During the 1950's and 60's, there were several popular rockabilly female artists, however, it was Wanda Jackson who became known as the "Queen of Rockabilly due to her mixing country music with fast-moving rockabilly. Unlike the traditional clothing worn by female country music singers of the time, she wore fringed dresses, high heels, and long earrings and acclaimed herself as the first woman to put "glamor into country music. She often shared the concert billing with Elvis Presley who encouraged her to sing rockabilly and even briefly dated her while touring. Jackson's version of the song was later featured in the 1989 film Dead Poets Society and was included under the title "Party" in the Broadway musical Million Dollar Quartet in New York.
