In November 1959, ITN's Neville Clarke presented a special 'Roving Report' documentary embedded within the NATO Exercise Riptide - referred to through the report as "Operation Atlantic".
The military training exercise focused on NATO operations in the Atlantic Ocean, with ITN's reporting team focussing on the U.S., Canadian, and British navy vessels carrying out the mission.
ITN's Roving Reports was a series of documentary reports from around the world, produced by ITN News and broadcast between 1957 and 1964.
