Mortal Shell 2 - How to Get Clockwork Shardstone - SECRET Alchemist's Worshop Location
The Clockwork Shardstone sits behind a sealed entrance, and the way in is a catapult. Four steps, and the first three are the ones people never work out on their own.
Step one is the Makeshift Projectile. You collect it before anything else, and there is a fight over it, so go in with your health and resolve where you want them rather than wandering into it.
Step two is the catapult itself. Load the projectile into it and fire, and the shot breaks open the entrance to the secret dungeon. Nothing in the game tells you the catapult is for this, which is the entire reason the dungeon stays secret.
Step three is the route. Start from the Castigator's Keep Beacon and follow the path shown to the Alchemist's Workshop. The line in this video is deliberate: it is walked rather than described, and the map is opened along the way so you can place yourself from wherever you are instead of retracing it exactly.
Step four is the dungeon. This guide takes you in through the broken entrance and through the workshop, and it ends inside rather than on the pickup itself, so treat it as the route in rather than a full clear. If you have been staring at a sealed door with no idea what opens it, the first three steps are what you came for.
Rest at the beacon before you start, and go in with something that hits hard.
