"All I See Is You (feat. Brianna Rose)" by Moonmelt

I think it’s safe to say that everyone and everything under the sun knows what it’s like to melt, well, under the sun. A feeling that may belong to a more select crowd is melting under the moon. For all music listeners alike, the Vancouver electronic duo comprised of two dudes with the letters J & A, Moonmelt, builds a window so we can all peer into that feeling. Over the course of the last 3 years or so, these astrological audio architects have been releasing some gravely groovy tunes, and they deserve to be heard.
For today, I present to you: “All I See Is You.” Aside from just how easy Brianna Rose’s voice is on the ears, or how visceral those deep, vivid vibes are at the start, the overall structure of this song is what makes it unique in my humble opinion. It’s all too often we get those house songs where there’s a verse and then a drop and then a verse and then another drop. A little redundant indeed. While this song may follow a slightly similar pattern, each drop is different than the one that precedes it. After a little over a minute into the track, Moonmelt gifts us some fine galactic grime and cuts us aural slack as the song tunes back into Brianna Rose. Even after two thirds of the song is through, sounds that are fresher still roll out. In resemblance of that good old Martin Garrix woodblock, its jaunty notes blend with the rest to create this sort of deep house hybrid.
As the song arrives at its final crescendo and perfectly plateaus out, if you’re not moving to the beat, there must be too much moondust in your headphones. Here’s to hoping for some more melty melodies in the near future.
