My redone version of my Metal Slug Advance New Game Run, this time with OMFG SYNCHRONISED SOUND.
This mission is actually tolerable!...... if I hadn't insisted on blowing my Slug up mid mission for LOL SS SWORD, and if I hadn't screwed up and kept my Lasergun instead. And I didn't want to go back and get it off screen because that would destroy the point of a new game run: you guys must see me collect everything I have.
Yep, I do hate myself.
What I find particularly interesting about this mission is that you get Firebombs. It's the only time in the series where your HUD would read "FIRE", or anything other than "BOMB", while you're on foot. Metal Slug 3 lacked alternative bombs for the player on foot, so it's hard to tell if it would have done the same. Metal Slug 4, 5 and 6, built on the Metal Slug 3 engine much like Metal Slug Advance, didn't have changing HUDs on foot either, which I find particularly odd. It's almost as if *gasp* effort has been put into this game!
