Playthrough | Part 17: Betrayal and Reconciliation
We're still hard at work in Blanc's story in Lowee.
Financier asks Blanc to take part in a meeting. It's here she meets Azna=Leb who wants to change Lowee for the better. But what she doesn't know is that she's being played like a fiddle. Why? Because Blanc meets with C-Sha. It's here she learns that C-Sha is a member of Gold Third and she does remember the battle. But then Azna=Leb and the revolutionaries come in and arrest C-Sha. C-Sha sees this as treason and it's then that she starts exhibiting these dark thoughts. She even has a dream that she would be taken to the gallows.
But eventually C-Sha learns the truth and that Azna=Leb wants to get rid of Blanc so he can take over Lowee. Financier meets with the captured C-Sha. Meanwhile, Blanc, Rom and Ram finish resting up only to find that Blanc has now become a wanted target. This is due to Azna=Leb. Meanwhile, C-Sha is gearing up for a humiliation. Again, another dream. The people of Lowee call her a demon and it's enough to fill her with doubts. But things go to hell as monsters are attacking Lowee. This is forcing the Lowee CPUs to split up. Financier goes with Rom and Ram while Blanc deals with the monsters head on to buy time. Meanwhile, C-Sha gets word from Anza=Leb that she'll be executed. But upon hearing about the monster attack, he orders the revolutionaries to retreat and let the monsters destroy Lowee. How scummy.
What follows is Blanc taking down the monsters little by little. But she slowly gets worn down. C-Sha starts being filled with this darkness, to the point that she wants everything to be destroyed. Financier arrives and she asks C-Sha for help. But she says no. But after remembering Blanc, it's enough for C-Sha to finally team up. After dealing with more monsters, C-Sha joins Blanc to deal with them. We get to play as C-Sha and her gameplay style. But after dealing with more monsters, Rom, Ram and a whole load of hunters appear to help. Financier too. Now Blanc, Rom, Ram and C-Sha take down the rest.
They return to Lowee and confront Azna=Leb about all of this. He orders the Hunters to capture them but they refuse. They refuse because they know the truth. Turns out he was responsible for all these machinations. C-Sha asks the public to accept her as Lowee's Gold Third. They accept, despite some objections. But C-Sha is still filled with this delusionary dread and she unexpectedly heads for the Golden Summit in Lowee. While all this happens, Steamax was looking for something. He ends up finding, despite some issues.
Lowee's Golden Summit is our next stop in Part 18.
