A video of me fighting and barely surviving the wandering subconscious Koishi Komeiji
Koishi Komeiji (Whose name I had mentioned so many times that I actually enjoy saying it) is the Ex-boss of the game Subterranean Animism, the 11th installment of the Touhou Project. The Touhou Project is a series of danmaku shooters. Danmaku is a term than can be loosely translated (and quite aptly in my opinion) into "curtain of fire" or "bullet hell", thus denoting game were high density in bullet is more important that a lot of enemies. The series was created and is managed by the one man team Team Shanghai Alice, composed only of ZUN. For more information on the series, check the wiki at the end of the description.
Koishi is the younger sister of Satori Komeiji and as such she's also a satori youkai. However, if you pay attention, her third eye is closed. This is because she wanted to evade the hatred her sister receives for reading minds. This plan, however, backfired and she gained the ability to read and manipulate the subconscious. She doesn't seem to mind though, so is all okay. I must admit Koishi picked my interest as a probably interesting character. To be so carefree despite holding such ability, reminds me of Yuyuko (though I consider Yuyuko's attitude a mere façade while I don't Koishi's.) I wonder how manipulating the subconscious actually works...
Another interesting thing to note is that Koishi is the second extra boss who is the younger sister of the mistress of the mansion that appears in the game. The other one is Flandre, sister of Remilia. This led to a humorous 4koma saying that by this logic, Mokou (ex-boss) concluded she is the sister of Kaguya (Mistress), who is her mortal enemy. Okay, they're more like friendly rivals who have nothing better to do while eternity pass by, but still.
Koishi has to be one of the toughest ex-bosses, if not the toughest. She is probably tougher than Ran actually. Her stage plus the boss fight are killers. She does possess the easiest non-spell out of all the other ex-bosses, but those are merely small pieces of haven in the chaos. As you can expect, most of her spellcards revolve around the idea of subconscious, which led to one of the most infamous spellcards in the series due to its shape. This led to me developing a battle cry (only that not really) whenever I fought the heart danmakus, saying things like Stupid perverted hearts. So...yeah.
Trivia time: Look at this video and the "Subterranean Animism Extra Stage" video. There's something odd. Whoever can identify what is this oddity I speak of wins a virtual cookie.
He/she can even try to request a vid from fight from any of the touhou games, even fangames. Maybe I'll comply, but just maybe.
Well, next up is the youkai of boundaries herself. But first I have to unlock her ._.
