Well, damn. I almost managed to get a clean run- Monty Mole just didn't behave as I expected him to and tagged me out. I could have been more patient and ended the plate appearance with Bowser on first and done the stolen base setup for Body Check, but I was excited about how things had gone and really wanted to end the inning right then and there. At that point, and especially given that I had to preserve the shutout, I decided that a little bit of overtime just to secure Body Check would be acceptable for this first submission. Next time, though, I absolutely will not settle for anything worse than a single match of baseball with 20 plate appearances on offense maximum.
Bowser's route is extremely simple and there's no ambiguity at all about the overall approach. The real issue is whether it's worth going for the fabled 16-0 single-inning match as opposed to the more reasonable two-inning strategy that this run uses. I can say that this category is not so bad to grind for; Bowser home runs are plentiful and there's no Jr. on the map to troll you on your way to the baseball. I'll definitely return to this one in the future.
