There's a tiny bit more time to save here from Bowser Jr. throwing faster pitches, but otherwise this is about as fast as it's going to get. Bases empty batting scenario, bare minimum amount of menuing required to complete the run, no slow replays, and both solo HRs hit on the first pitch. I encountered Bowser Jr. very quickly on the world map, too. You can get better movement out of him but not MUCH better- pretty much any encounter that ends up in DK Jungle is good.
This run is also hard to beat in terms of style points- Fire Bro hit the top of the dam. Pretty cool if you ask me B)
