To know you’re talked about, made fun of, even bullied and picked apart with every move…
And to STILL show up as YOU.
To not let someone else’s misguide pain and anger divert you from what you know is your God-given path, and dim your divine light.
The internet is absolutely ruthless these days. I had a conversation yesterday with someone who’s been reduced to mere fragments of who they are because of it.
It’s hard enough as an adult… but kids these days? Wow. As a mother, I’ve seen first hand some pretty hard kid-to-kid interaction that breaks my heart.
And we wonder why depression and anxiety or so high??
Watching so many (myself included at times) set out on a path for perfection… for the sake of being “enough” and “accepted”. To escape the harsh words that we fear might come if we’re not.
But what if the win isn’t actually perfection?
What if the win is integrity… and standing firm in dignity? What if the magic ingredient is ACTUALLY showing up authentically with scars, scrapes and all?
And what of the bravest thing we can do is to STOP performing, and start BEING who we actually are… no matter what anyone around us has to say about it?
Truth is no matter how we slice and dice it… we will ALL be misunderstood.
We’ll all be judged.
We will all be friggin talked about in rooms we aren’t in.
If this is inevitable, why would we expend energy being anyone and anything other than who we really are?
Oh the freedom that comes with living truth and living a life for ourselves and those we love… no one else.
After all, those who matter don’t mind. And those who mind… absolutely truly 100% don’t matter.
Happy Saturday 🫶🏼
