Every kid deserves to grow up knowing they do not have to earn love. 🫶🏼
That they can mess up.
Change.
Question things.
Become different versions of themselves over time…
…and still be fully loved through all of it.
I think so many of us grew up feeling like love was something we had to earn.
✨Be good enough.
✨Successful enough.
✨Easy enough.
✨Helpful enough.
✨Perfect enough.
And one of my favorite things about Emily + Chelsea is the way they’ve created a home where kids don’t have to perform for love. They can just… BE. 🩷
This conversation really made me think about how much healing happens when a child feels truly safe.
Safe to talk. Safe to mess up. Safe to ask questions. Safe to become whoever they are becoming without fear that love will be taken away.
Truthfully, I think adults need that reminder too.
That maybe love isn’t supposed to disappear every time we disappoint someone.
Maybe humans are meant to evolve.
Maybe families can look a million different ways and still be full of love and goodness and safety.
