Liquid Gold were one of a number of groups formed by the UK's master of harmony, Adrian Baker. Other such groups were Gidea Park and the Tonics. Adrian also released some quality singles under his own name.
"My Baby's Baby" was a #45 US hit on Parachute in 1979. It didn't chart in the UK, although the group released 6 records that did, including the Top-10ers, "Dance Yourself Dizzy" and "Substitute", both in 1980.

Hailing from Norway, the group debuted on record in 1884 with the original version of “Take On Me”, which only charted in Norway. This re-recording, produced by Alan Tarney, followed in 1985 and did the trick It was #1 in the US, Australia and Germany and #2 in the UK.
The group have followed with many hit singles and albums but more so in the UK than the US.")
