Moomintroll's first exposure to winter was a harsh one in more ways than one. The freezig temperatures and frigid winters almost claimed him as it did the squirrel... but did it? Did the Lady of the Cold claim them or did they somehow survive out there and flee to somewhere warmer? We may never know the answer, but one thing we do know is that we need to get back to sleeping through this chilly season.
The journey back home is when the game begins to teach you some of the mechanics you'll be using to solve puzzles. Doing that requires inventory items that you can easily switch through, allowing you to light things with matches, throw snowballs and other useful things. Each of these will come into their own as you navigate more of Moominvalley and figure out just what's going on and how we can solve it, for all is not as it should be.
