LASER capture microdissection is a method used for precise microdissection of the sample. For this a special type of thermoplastic is used. The adhesive property of this thermoplastic gets activated in presence of infrared laser. The laser is guided by computer. Hence only a small region where the laser falls gets activated. This allows microdissection of the sample.
