Firefighters worked through the early morning hours to extinguish a stubborn commercial building fire in Boyle Heights after receiving reports of smoke and flames at 1:15 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025. The blaze involved a roughly 100' x 100' metal-clad structure filled with a large volume of contents, which fueled rapid fire growth.
Due to concerns about structural integrity, Incident Command kept all crews in a defensive posture, attacking the flames from the exterior using ladder pipes, wagon batteries, and large-diameter handlines. Approximately 88 firefighters worked until nearly 3 a.m. to bring the fire under control.
Neighboring apartment buildings were closely monitored and protected, and no evacuations were needed. No injuries were reported.
