The TLB of the first Labyrinth of Touhou returns as one of the first end-game bosses. Unlike his previous incarnation where he used a variety of weapons, spells and offensive items to attack the players, this ***WINNER*** is an exclusive spellcaster with six realms of spells to use. He has five spells to cast for each realm that he casts in strict sequence, but at the start of the fight he will only cast two before switching, and as his HP drops he will cast more per rotation. Below 40% he has a chance to concentrate before casting the fifth spell, but at below 15% he'll always skip the concentration and just go for it. Each realm also changes his elemental properties and ailment/debuff resistances around.
The most dangerous parts of his spells are Banish from Sorcery (4th spell), as it'll swap your entire frontline and cast HVY on all of them for good measure, so you'll probably end up having to wait for him to kill a character to get your frontline back in if he doesn't swap in someone who can cure the status, as well as Chaos in general (two of the spells can remove maxHP if they hit, and third spell is like Spirit Decomposition where it's guaranteed DTH without 200 resistance). Four of his ultimate spells deal big multitarget damage which can be worked around since you know they're coming, but two of them give him invincibility for a few turns which is extremely annoying. Since the danger posed by his spells can vary a lot depending on what realm he's on, this fight can be pretty RNG, so you just gotta pray that he doesn't, say, go Chaos a lot and murder all your tanks' maxHP or something. It's worth braving the RNG, though, as you get a swanky new subclass out of the fight.
Oh yeah and this guy levels up by 200 every time you defeat him. He's the only source of Golden Swordfish Statues in the game, so you'll just have to brave him if you want more of them.
