The 7F FOE is infamously tough for how early you can fight it. Not only does it have a lot of HP, regenerate 4% of it every turn, and can heal 1/3 of its HP any time it wants, but Horizontal Slice can OHKO a lot of attackers easily. The best way to deal with it is to simply ignore it for the time being and come back when you're about done with 8F, as your stats should then be high enough that attacks other than Horizontal Slice shouldn't pose much of a threat.
It does have a mediocre resistance to SHK, but it's still highly enough that Orin can barely break past it (Lv7 Cat's Walk has only 24% chance to inflict) so you probably need to run Shield Bash on someone (Kogasa is probably the best due to having Sheer Force), and even then you're not gonna get more than maybe 40% chance or so due to lack of SKP at this point. It's probably the only thing that's worth a try if you're adamant on bringing it down while you're still on 7F.
