What's up Geekly Goods fam! 👀 Kevin Feige was recently asked about Spider-Man 5, and his response is giving us a lot to think about heading into the future of this franchise.
Feige said, "There are always plans. But right now, he's going to rest after that global tour. He and Zendaya are going to take a good and restful victory lap, which they very much deserve." Honestly, we completely agree with this. Zendaya has had an incredibly demanding year between Brand New Day and The Odyssey, and she's got Dune: Part Three still ahead of her. Tom Holland has also been nonstop busy, so these two absolutely deserve some time to recharge.
That said, after how incredible Spider-Man: Brand New Day turned out, we are already craving the next installment. There was a five-year gap between No Way Home and Brand New Day, but given how record-breaking this movie has performed at the box office, we don't think Marvel is going to wait that long again. A three-year turnaround feels much more realistic this time around. Even Sony's CEO gave a clear "yes" when asked directly if Spider-Man 5 is happening, so it really feels like a matter of when, not if.
