What's up Geekly Goods fam! 👀 Check out this first poster for Days of Thunder 2, officially confirmed by Tom Cruise himself, with Anne Hathaway now joining the cast and a June 2nd, 2028 theatrical release locked in.
This is the first news we've gotten of this long-awaited sequel, nearly 40 years after the original 1990 film. Cruise returns as NASCAR driver Cole Trickle, while Hathaway joins as a race car team owner and engineer. Jonathan Levine is directing from a script by Will Staples, with Cruise also producing alongside Jerry Bruckheimer and Tommy Harper. The film is being shot for IMAX and will release across Dolby Cinema, 4DX, and other premium formats. Filming likely won't start for a few more months, since Hathaway is currently pregnant with her third child.
