According to reports, the writers' room for Season 2 never even opened before the writers were released to pursue other projects, which makes this cancellation feel even more sudden and disappointing. This comes on the heels of a pattern we've been noticing across the MCU: Blade getting cancelled entirely, Steve Rogers seemingly returning before Sam Wilson really gets his full moment as Captain America, Ironheart getting dragged through the mud by critics and fans alike, and Eternals also getting shelved. It really feels like a lot of Black heroes and heroes of color keep getting sidelined again and again, and honestly, it's a frustrating trend to watch unfold.
