Apparently, the film is said to be more serious than New Empire, with higher stakes and a more expansive, developed world. Multiple attendees have compared the tone to a blend of Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Godzilla vs. Kong, specifically in terms of style rather than plot or subject matter. This comes after earlier test screening leaks confirmed SpaceGodzilla as the film's main villain, with an even bigger cosmic threat teased for later in the franchise, and reports that Godzilla and Kong remain allies throughout, with no manufactured rivalry between them this time.
