What's up Geekly Goods fam! 🤯 Is it Oscar time?! Robert Pattinson stars in Primetime, a new film from A24 exploring the origins of the controversial Dateline NBC series To Catch a Predator, which followed host Chris Hansen confronting suspects during undercover sting operations.
This looks genuinely intense. Pattinson takes on the role of Hansen himself, and the trailer shows him fully committing to that unsettling, high-stakes energy the original series was known for. Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, and Phoebe Bridgers, in her acting debut, round out the supporting cast, and the film is directed by Lance Oppenheim in his narrative feature debut. Primetime is set to premiere at the Venice International Film Festival before hitting theaters on September 25th.
