Why somebody would donate this for resale at $5.99 surprises me. But who am I to complain, my son found this at Goodwill and I am pretty darn sure it’s got about 25 hours of use on it. Pristine and the VFD display could not be brighter.
We got this a couple years ago and it’s time to bring it out for the evening.
Features a good solid 100 watts per channel, Dolby surround, and a whole bunch of different sound effect modes. And an integrated graphic EQ and spectrum analyzer to boot!
This is the end of the early 1990’s JVC line that I loved. Square, lots of buttons, somewhat symmetrical. The following year later they came out with a similar line with a circular volume knob in the middle. Then they got rid of the silverish aluminum finish and went to all black and then decided to remove all of the fun lights and buttons.
This really is a beautiful looking piece and it sounds just as it looks.
I’m listening to UMRK web radio, my friend Greg runs this weekly show which is now available via an iOS and Android app - and Alexa! it’s quite entertaining, and he played a request for me tonight, which I recorded here.
Are you ready for the Fourth of July? I am! But not looking forward to these Midwest electric bills in July because we’re running the air conditioning quite a bit.
