Breaking out this TOTL receiver tonight from 1991. Got this 2 years ago and used it a few times and it really is a good performer.
Listening to UMRK Web Radio tonight. A friend of mine has a radio show and it’s quite entertaining. studio66radio.com
Upon power on tonight, the VFD on this receiver was flickering all over the place and inconsistent. So I went to the Al Gore’s Internet and found somebody else who had the exact same problem and there’s a single 47uf capacitor in the power supply which I swapped and now it’s back to normal. The video doesn’t show the repair, but I just wanted to give the backstory.
