Early on February 11th, farmers from across the country ran around Melbourneās Tan track as part of the Australian Dairy Conferenceās āMilk Runā.
ADC is Australiaās āpremier dairy eventā and this year's conference has broken records for highest attendance. When we saw that 150 farmers had signed up for the Milk Run, we saw an opportunityā¦
Wearing shirts with designs of calves and cows, and chanting messages about the industry, we ran onto the track. We were heard by farmers, members of the public, dairy industry representatives and sponsors š
The day was not only about being a presence for the animals who are routinely exploited and slaughtered in this industry, but about starting conversations about how we can move away from an industry that harms us all.
