With bass, bikini and bathrobe: the performance evening IMMERSION was new territory for everyone involved, as the three performances on 20, 21 and 22 September 2024 took place both on and in the filled water pool of the old Charlottenburg public baths.
In continuation of the successful Tischlerei series ‘Hinterhalt’, IMMERSION reflected on themes from the first three new productions on the main stage of the Deutsche Oper – LA FIAMMA, MACBETH and DIE FRAU OHNE SCHATTEN – this time from a feminist perspective.
In the magical atmosphere of the historic swimming pool, a hybrid evening was created with the transdisciplinary inclusion of opera singing, contemporary artistry, real-time visuals and techno.
