For the second episode here in Tennessee, I’m in Rogersville at Carnival Cafe to take on their massive 7-pound Philly Cheesesteak Challenge. What makes this challenge unique is that the weight goes up by half a pound every time someone wins. Since the last winner @RandySantel finished 6.5 pounds, I now have to eat 7 pounds to claim victory.
The Philly Cheesesteak challenge consists of a 30-inch baked roll stuffed with 4.75 pounds of sirloin beef, over 30 slices of American cheese, and a mountain of grilled onions. I’ve got 1 hour to finish it all to get my $70 meal free, a t-shirt, a $50 gift card, and a spot on their wall of fame. And just so you know, all the extra food on my platter is not part of the challenge, the sandwich is the only thing that matters.
