Today I face off against Tamarind's "Pho-King Boss" Challenge!
In today’s episode, I’m in Salt Lake City, Utah, at Tamarind SLC, a popular Vietnamese restaurant and pho spot located downtown. Known for its fresh, handcrafted Vietnamese cuisine and welcoming atmosphere, Tamarind serves a wide variety of dishes including pho bowls, flavorful bánh mì sandwiches, hearty rice and noodle bowls, and fresh spring rolls. Blending traditional Vietnamese flavors with modern touches, it’s a go-to spot for both pho lovers and local foodies.

The "Pho-King Boss" Challenge features four pounds of rice noodles paired with sizeable portions of meatballs and beef plus vegetables...roughly the equivalent of five regular pho bowls. There is about a gallon of broth that's not required to finish. If I can finish all the food within one hour, I'll get the $50 meal free, a photo on their Wall of Fame, and $200 cash.
