Today I'm taking on Hope Cafe's undefeated "Bottomless Pit" BBQ challenge in Jackson, Tennessee. Hope Cafe & Store in Jackson, Tennessee, is more than just a restaurant, it’s a nonprofit, mission-driven spot that supports the Men & Women of Hope recovery program, a faith-based, year-long initiative helping individuals overcome addiction and rebuild their lives. The cafe serves hearty BBQ plates, sandwiches, and comfort food, with all proceeds going directly toward funding the recovery center and its community outreach efforts. Alongside the restaurant is the Hope Store, a renovated gift shop featuring decor, furniture, and handmade items created by participants in the program. Altogether, Hope Cafe stands as a welcoming community hub where good food fuels an even greater purpose, giving people hope and a second chance at life.
The "Bottomless Pit" Challenge is one that is undefeated with only one attempt by my friend @EliLessig . This massive feast features their Triple Defibrillator Burger, with brisket, pulled pork, bacon, onion rings, and mac & cheese, all layered between four Texas toast grilled cheese sandwiches. On the side, you get a huge portion of their Bossman Totchos, loaded with pulled pork, mac & cheese, bacon, and jalapeños. You’ve got one hour to take down the entire meal to get your $75 meal free, plus you’ll earn yourself t-shirt.
