On March 30, 2024. An officer from the Marshfield Police Department approached a red light when he noticed a blue Saturn stopped at the stop lights. As the officer pulled up next to the Saturn, he recognized the driver of the vehicle to be Sara Dickman. He believed that Sara had warrants out for her arrest and asked Dispatch to check, they advised that Sara had multiple warrants out for her arrest. The officer activated his lights and Sara accelerated to 63 MPH. She fled for a few miles but was not driving recklessly. After pulling over, Sara immediately exited the vehicle and followed commands from the officers. She was placed in handcuffs and a search before being placed in a squad car. Officers attempted to open her vehicle but it was locked and they were unable to locate any keys, Sara said that it was not her car and that the officers weren't going to get into it. She said that there were no keys to the car and that she started the vehicle with scissors but never locked the doors. An officer was able to open the door by pressing the unlock button with an access tool. A small gem bag that later tested positive for meth was found inside of the vehicle. At the jail, Sara claimed that she did not see the officer behind her until she pulled over. She was found guilty for Vehicle Operator Flee/Elude Officer and Felony Bail Jumping. She was sentenced to 4 years in prison, 6 years of parole, and she was ordered to pay over $1000 in fines.
