Well, this was suppose to be for Valentines Day, but obviously not. It was one of those spur of the moment project ideas. I finished it last Monday but delayed uploading it. Mainly cause I wanted my 50th vid to be the collab with hiccuptoothless94. (;
Soo, my goal on this vid was to focus on the Hiccup and Astrid relationship. Hopefully my first, but you know what...I'm going to leave that decision up to you guys. If you think its Hiccstrid enough, then I'll title it. Meantime, interesting thumbnail; more like a spoiler *cough*. Anyway....

Okay, so I started this vid Valentines week, Tuesday, but did not start until Wednesday the day before Valentines. I was going through a bit of a work crisis on my own so I was feeling pretty low that day/week. (Good news is its resolved now, btw) While working though, this played on the radio and it was just the song I needed to hear! Haven't heard it in such a long time, but its a very emotional song to me. (This guy really knows how to put feelings into his voice :) I especially ♥ his words: "But to lose your life for another I've heard; is a good place to begin. Cause the only way to find your life is to lay your own life down."
I actually made over half of it (to about 1:24) that Wednesday but still not enough to finish on time and I did not want to rush it. I discovered this neat MagicBullet add-on with several unique color effects. I put one on the *Whole* vid to save time and give a soft, special appearance. Also played with the Chroma Keyer...alot. The color did not always look so pretty with it though *whoops* But okay I have to say, isn't 2:05-2:10 the most PERFECT Minefield?♥?♥ Ahh, its made for it! =D
I always wanted to put text with this song if I ever did it, but that was by far the HARDEST part to accomplish out of the whole thing. Oh and PLEASE forgive the typos I made in there. I swear, the instant I'm off a spellchecker I'm doomed :/ I guess I could have gone back in and corrected them, but it took 2 hrs to render; I really did not want to go through it again. This is my first time really adding the lyrics in the vid...and I totally suck at them so, gotta practice. I did leave some words out to make it feel more one on one between them.
This song is truthfully about marriage, but I cut off the first verse which was a dead give away to that fact. Its also a VERY deep religious song and I really wanted to connect on that with them. Through all the trials and tribulations they must turn back to God; depend on Him to make it through....together "Dont give up on [God]" And Astrid is trying to remind him of "the Promise". The clips of the Touch scene also have a deeper meaning in here, but I'll let you my friends decide for yourselves. (You all are experts on interpreting the hidden depth messages in vids anyhow ;)
However, I do not want to give the same "Idolatry" feeling with them as was felt to some in "Welcome Home". I just hope His presences is felt while watching this...as I felt (:
