Ahehe, I guess nearly a 13 min gift was not long enough so I've been working on two, to give yay something new. Hope that's alright; I just couldn't resist! So Happy Birthday again my dear friend!! ;)
Apologies on some of the VO being rather low; IDK why they are so quiet but I turned them up max on two levels so watch your volume!
The most pivotal moment and paralleling VO I must point out is 1:51,
"Today, my boy becomes a viking. Today, he becomes one of us!"
This is the turning point of the story; where Hiccup makes a decision to stand up against his tribe, his father for what he believes is right; becoming his own person....and a legend. (Plus where all the ideas started forming in my mind, lol!)
This is parallel-mania style straight through! (excluding Final Battle) I was constantly looking for something to mix together, but I made my decision from the beginning that this would be strictly a HTTYD vid. (No GOTNF, BOD, ROB...other then well some VOs ;)

Well this vid has a pretty interesting back-story anyway. For starters, it was not the original instrumental I had planned for you, HD14. (Yes, it was all planned months ago you well know! ;) When I was on vacation for two weeks back in early March, YT recommended me this score (Finally a winner YT!) and I was immediately mesmerized by its "noble calling." (Plus the artist does gaming scores! 0_0) I thought, "Oh what the heck, this can be a project I can work on for a rainy day." So at first I did not put much time/thought into the direction I was going with this; just editing whatever first comes to mind.
By the end of April, as time passed, I started liking it more n more and at about 2:25 into it I decided this was the one to give to you! (Though I gotta say too that you will like my other instrumental first was working on for you. In my books its up there with "Love n Loss" and "Magika") I felt that you needed something more Epicly uplifting, then dramatically epic these days though. (:
As you would imagine, a major project priority shift like that was made for this and kicked into high gear over the past couple days, Ha! I just love to see how close I can get to an event without being late, lol! *Never fails*
The finale I pieced together was by far some of the trickiest editing I've done so far: mainly with the VOs, trying to match them, match the music, come up with some layers to go with ones I already pictured in my mind, oh and not repeat any clips! (Some close calls!) I had more VO in the dramatic sequences, but I felt they were taking away instead of adding to the music.
All in all, I finished this at about, ohh 10:00 PM last night ,Ha! Whew, thats cutting it closer then I had in mind but at least I'm not late! (Would never have forgiven myself since I had such an early start!)
I hope you will enjoy it, make you smile, maybe give you chills from the epicness of the score! I absolutely ♥ it! (But I admit, after repeating it non-stop over the last couple days I've heard it enough for awhile, lol! Whoa, I just realized I did not use anything from Romantic Flight.....whoops (;
