Whew, I didn't think I was gonna make it, what with my job now, spotty editing inspiration, getting sick AGAIN, and then losing power for several hours last night.... *sighs* But none of that matters, I made it, and it was all worth it *yay!*

I look forward every year to doing something (or a couple) special gifts for you because its the only thing I know to do to give back all the joy and laughter and hope you've given to me through the year over the course of our 5 year friendship. (And for the record, you didnt tell me when your b-day was in 2012 so I couldn't then, ahe). I know I say it every year but, thank you, HTTYD2014. Don't ever doubt who you are, and that you make a difference in those around you by your words, by your beliefs, and by your character. Life has had its ups n downs for you, yet you've carried on each day, despite feeling the weight of the world on your shoulders you remain strong. You've taught me a lot through your experiences and by your example, and, IDK what I'd do without you my friend....especially these past several months. Thank you, you are amaaazzzing!

Alright, now that were over the serious stuff, lets talk about this gift I made for ya. You know I said before its perfectly fine if you don't like it; you won't hurt my feelings in the least because I know I could do better. (And besides I can make it up to ya ;)

I've been tossing around ideas since January and thought I knew what I'd do, but as you know very well work has been dragging me down these past few months and inspiration has been a hit-or-miss. THIS song seemed to be the only one I could work with that wasn't strictly a vent-ish song. I've slipped back into that genera of music that hits hard on the realities of life that we're all going through, and I was sorely tempted to give you one I'm doing with our 3 favorite fandoms in it but it just felt wrong giving you a vent on your birthday. I refuse to do it. Today is a celebration of your life! (And I'm happy, like genuinely filled with joy this weekend, and despite being sick too, lol!)

This song though, I honestly donno if you'll like it or not. I cut the first verse out cause the rap was worse and I was so afraid your 1st reaction would be like: "Holy HORRIBLENESS what did she make for me this year!?!" I liked the 2nd verse though for the epic build up for the chorus which is why I absolutely love this song! The chorus is so stirring and motivating and the only thing literally that'd wake me up and get me pumped after a mentally debilitating day at work. Besides, it embodies the themes between HTTYD 1&2 insanely well!
The kinetic typography was challenging; Ive been wanting to try my hand at that and this song again was perfect. The hardest part was the first verse - SO MANY WORDS SO FAST!

And as an added bonus, I got it rendered in 60fps! This isn't the first time I've done 60fps but before it seemed to through off the timings with the added frames and look glitchy in spots so I stopped. However, I like vids with text to be in 60fps cause it looks so much smoother. So I tried some new settings with Vegas Pro 14 and...IT WORKED! PERFECT! Not to mention smaller file size 0_0 So you will be seeing 60fps from now on most likely.
